A group bike ride can be intimidating for the uninitiated, which is one reason Greater Lynchburg Off-Road Cyclists, or GLOC, host “no-drop” rides on Wednesdays through October 31. “No-drop” means the pace is set by the slowest rather than the fastest riders, so no one gets left behind. GLOC rotate this weekly ride among various local trails, from Candlers Mountain to Peaks View Park to the Blackwater Creek Trail. For updated info on the rides, which start at 6 p.m., click here . Waivers and helmets are required. Keep an eye out for GLOC’s other weekly rides on their Facebook page and website .
