There are equestrian events, dog shows, and wine tastings. And then there’s the Horse and Hound Wine Festival, which brings together all three for a day of eating, drinking, admiring, and perhaps perspiring at Peaks of Otter Winery (1218 Elmos Rd.) and the adjacent Johnson’s Orchard. The festival runs from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and includes live music by Big Boss Man, arts and crafts booths, and food and wine vendors. Tasting tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the gate. Non-tasters can get $12 tickets in advance or pay $15 at the gate. And children under 12 get in for free, as do pets of the canine variety. Click here for more info or call (540) 586-3707.
