Legend has it that in a mythic but not so distant past, before Fortnite, Minecraft, and Roblox made role playing as easy as touching a screen, gamers had to rely on ten-, 12-, and 20-sided dice to make their moves in the decidedly Tolkienesque realm of Dungeons & Dragons. The expansive role-playing game has gone in and out of fashion, but it’s never quite gone away, as is evident every Thursday evening at the White Hart (1208 Main St.). Dungeon masters and novice wizards, clerics and elvin creatures are all invited to play from 5 until 8 p.m. at several tables, including one for beginners.
